Cymru ar Gynfas

When Wild Flame approached us at Galactig to create a title sequence for their new tv programme ‘Cymru ar Gynfas’, where six artists create a unique portrait of a celebrity they are paired with.

With this project, we were incredibly lucky, as the client gave us creative freedom on what would work best to suit the title sequence.

So we went to town! We started to experiment with ink and different types of paint, to figure out how to make ink particles form and move around a 3D printed version of Wales.

We were then presented with a challenge from the client to “represent a portrait”.

Our solution was to submerge a bronze head in a tank of water and have slow-mo ink falling through the water, hitting the head as it descended.

There was a lot of experimenting with this project to get the right look but in the end, the project ended up looking exactly like we hoped.
